Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Security+ certification is required.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As an Undersea Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) and Lab Administrator, youll participate in Information System Security tasking and Systems Engineering tasks (requirements analysis, functional and performance analysis, system design, trade studies, etc) as well as Lab Support of Undersea lab environments. What youll experience:
- Design, engineer, test, implement, deploy, maintain, review, and administer the infrastructure hardware, software, and documentation that are required to effectively manage Information System and Network defense resources.
- Design, develop, and implement specific security countermeasures or solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities identified during assessments and/or inspections.
- Monitor the environments to actively remediate configuration issues and/or unauthorized activities.
- Support Undersea lab environments
- Development of computing environment security to include setup and design of security group policies.
- Breakdown of NIST security requirements to a level that can be understood by software and systems engineers.
- Drive understanding and implementation of security standards on computer systems.

- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Shall have 5+ years of experience in systems engineering practices for systems and technologies deployed across a multi-platform (Windows, *nix, etc.) enterprise-grade Wide Area Network (WAN).
- Shall have 3+ years of experience in Information Security (INFOSEC) operations, practices, and guidance.
- Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot Hardware, Network, and Virtualization Technology related issues
- Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot Active Directory Domains

Salary Note This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Combined Salary Range USD $136,000.00 - USD $146,000.00 /Yr.
