Job Summary :
We are looking for a talented graphic designer to play an integral role in the creating, managing, collaborating, and editing a range of elements from editing existing communication and collateral documents to creating new across a array of mediums. The successful candidate will be required to have strong design skills and must have working knowledge of the many types social media in reaching audiences. The Graphic Design Specialist works a part of our Marketing and Outreach Team, but plays a role throughout all of SEMRHI in reaching the communities and patients we service. The Graphic Design Specialist will work with other organizations and agencies to organize projects to promote SeMRHI and services offered. The Graphic Design Specialist will represent SEMRHI on local and state level committees regarding Marketing and Public Relations and at local health fairs and community events.

Job Responsibilities :
- Provide all media (newspapers, cable TV, radio, websites, social media, etc.) with notices of upcoming productions, newsworthy events and advertising
- Electronically design and produce printed materials such as advertisements, brochures, newsletters and forms
- Maintain relationships with local businesses in an effort to educate the community on SeMRHI services
- Communicates effectively with the Marketing Manager in the scheduling of all publications
- Represent SeMRHI on local and/or state level committees as requested as Administration
- Develops written and publicity materials as needed for outreach purposes
- Promotes the entire operation through printed materials and media outlets, including calendars, brochures, special catalogs for retail operations, announcements, newsletters, radio and television public service announcements and advertising (to the extent permitted by local and state laws)
- Works with all departments to ensure outreach and in-reach communication is effective throughout the operation
- Coordinates production of the quarterly e-newsletter and other print projects
- Prints sample of finished layout and presents sample to the Marketing Manager for approval
- Serve as marketing support person through public relations events
- Performs related work, as assigned
Job Requirements :
- Associate degree in a related field of study from a two-year college (or higher) or technical school or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in health education/promotion or marketing
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a professional setting preferred
- Excellent computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
- Possess 3-6 years demonstrated experience in directing and executing internal and external communications strategies, preferably in a healthcare, government or public benefit corporation setting
- Ability to communicate in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and planning skills to prioritize work, handle multiple task simultaneously and take initiative
- Proficient in PC skills in a Window environment (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum) and word processing, databases, graphic design marketing support tools such as In-Design, Dreamweaver and Photoshop
- Detail-oriented
- Works independently with little direct supervision
- Interacts with difficult individuals while maintaining composure
- Able to work cooperatively as a member of a team
- Able to work under stress in a fast-paced environment
- Excel, MS Office and typing skills required
Physical and Other Requirements :
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical assessment
- Must be willing to do local and out-of-state travel
- Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs routinely
