Position Overview:
As a Senior Manager of Program Management, you will play a critical role in accelerating our emergency operations improvement plans for our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of process improvement projects related to emergency response and recovery initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and communities. This position requires exceptional leadership skills, a strong background in program or project management, and the ability to navigate complex and high-pressure situations with ease. Additionally, you will be critical in developing executive communication, making strong written and verbal communication skills a must. This role is based in Bentonville, AR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvement plans to accelerate emergency operations and ensure preparedness and effective response to potential emergencies.
- Lead projects to identify operational opportunities and facilitate the successful execution of emergency response and recovery programs.
- Source and analyze data, create dashboards, track metrics, and create roadmaps to achieve goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, emergency services, and community organizations.
- Conduct regular drills, exercises, and training programs to test emergency response capabilities and enhance preparedness.
- Monitor and analyze emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in emergency management, and recommend improvements to existing programs.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to support emergency response and recovery efforts.
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels to provide timely updates, guidance, and support to all stakeholders during emergency situations.
- Lead post-incident assessments and provide recommendations for improvement to enhance future emergency response capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Program or Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience in program or project management and/or process improvement/implementation.
- Proficiency in SQL databases, Google BigQuery, Looker, PowerBI, and Tableau.
- Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions quickly and effectively in high-stress situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Experience in emergency management (e.g., Certified Emergency Manager) is highly desirable.
