We have an exciting job opportunity for a
Help Desk Engineer located in Coppell, Texas. Our client is seeking someone with excellent communication skills and a strong background in technical support related to machinery, hardware, or software. This is an onsite position with 30% travel.
Help Desk Engineer Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for Helpdesk Technical Support for customers and engineers, ensuring prompt responses and promoting good customer relations
- Maintain detailed customer and incident records in the call tracking system
- Recommend equipment upgrades and support agreements to reduce user problems
- Follow up with customers to ensure issues are fully resolved
- Collaborate with projects, sales, and aftermarket teams to enhance overall customer satisfaction
- Manage the deployment of technical training programs and materials to customers and the technical support team
- Schedule appropriate field resources and communicate schedules with customers
- Complete field service call feedback and progress reports for invoicing
- Escalate unresolved cases/work-orders to the Technical Help Desk Manager and monitor them until closure
Help Desk Engineer Requirements:- Minimum of 10 years of service experience with a broad technical background in electronic and mechanical equipment
- Sales negotiation and management success, with a track record of consistently exceeding targets
- Exposure to the manufacturing industry, particularly food and packaging, is advantageous
