Construction Manager

This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of land development and municipal construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a keen understanding of construction processes, and the ability to navigate the complex landscape of municipal regulations and politics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Prepare and review construction documents, including reports, pay applications, and material take-offs.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, government officials, and community members.
- Lead project meetings, providing clear direction and guidance to team members.
- Handle any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, implementing effective resolutions to keep projects on track.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- (preferred).
- 20-30 years of experience in the land development and municipal construction industry.
- 10+ years of experience in a construction management role.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to prepare accurate construction cost estimatesand financial reports.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and motivating teams.
- Familiarity with the political landscape of construction projects, with the ability to navigate regulatory requirements and stakeholder interests.
