Job Description



Your Career

As a Technical Enablement Specialist at Palo Alto Networks, you are responsible for improving the product and industry knowledge of technical team members from the sales, customer support, and professional services organizations. This role partners with Technical Enablement Architects to design product and industry training.

Individuals in this role are focused on the Palo Alto Networks Cortex portfolio, which brings enhanced security operations, analytics, and automation to customer environments. The position is primarily responsible for technical aspects of the product training, such as product features, configuration, deployment, and optimization using tools within the product. The scope and function of this position require close coordination with Systems Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Professional Services, Customer Support, and other Shared Services teams. This role will focus on the Cortex portfolio and report to the Senior Director of Technical Enablement.

All candidates must have relevant security orchestration and response knowledge or endpoint detection and response and an understanding of technical training methods. Experience in a Security Operations Center as a senior analyst or operations role is ideal for this position.

Our Technical Enablement team is critical to the success of our customer-facing technical personas. Presales and postsales roles rely on us to provide them with product knowledge across all Palo Alto Networks offerings so they can address the needs of our customers. We define product knowledge proficiencies and provide the technical content for individuals to achieve these levels. We seek individuals passionate about sharing knowledge and enabling others to reach their goals. This team moves quickly to address learning objectives by relying on team members' experience and knowledge to educate others in the cybersecurity industry and Palo Alto Networks products.

The compensation offered for this position will depend on

qualifications

, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $305,600/yr to $420,200/yr.
