Job Description:
Expertise in managing and optimizing database systems, particularly in Oracle & some NoSQL database technologies such as Cassandra and Couchbase.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in AWS services related to database DevOps.
Responsibilities:
1. Database Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems, with a focus on Oracle & some NoSQL technologies like Cassandra or Couchbase.
- Experience tuning databases or SQL queries
- Understanding of basic database security concepts like Certificates, SSL, TLS, mTLS, Encryption etc
2. AWS Experience
- Utilize AWS services for effective database management and optimization.
- Proficient in AWS database services, including but not limited to Amazon RDS Oracle, AWS CloudFormation, EC2, Route53, IAM, S3, EBS, KMS
- In-depth understanding of CloudWatch metrics like CPU, IOPS, Read/Write latency, Read/Write Throughput etc.
- Implement and maintain database solutions in AWS cloud environments.
3. Additional Technical Experience:
- Experience in some scripting language like Python, Shell, Ansible etc.
- Experience working with either log or data analytics tool like Splunk, Tableau etc
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and ensure optimal database performance.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding database- related developments and issues.
If the candidate is Certified AWS Solutions Architect, its an added advantage
