Job description
smartdept. is searching for a Senior UI Designer for a healthcare client located in Sunnyvale, CA . The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience in UI design . This is a full-time , hybrid, 4-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $55-$70/hour depending on experience level and fit.
We are currently seeking a creative and detail-oriented UI Designer to join our client's Human Experience & Success Team under the IT Digital Workplace department. This position will be responsible for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our client's digital products and platforms. The UI Designer will work closely with the UX team to ensure a seamless and engaging user experience, while also adhering to our company's branding and design guidelines.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with the UX team to understand user needs and behaviors
- Create visually stunning user interfaces and interactive designs
- Develop and maintain design wireframes, mockups, and specifications
- Ensure that the UI design aligns with the overall UX strategy and branding guidelines
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI design
What You’ll Need:
- Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in design and/or other related field is preferred
- 5+ years experience in UI design
- Proven experience as a UI Designer or similar role
- Strong portfolio of design projects showcasing UI/UX design skills
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe XD, Sketch, or Figma
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Previous experience in a healthcare/medical device industry
