Job description

Maplewood Baptist Church in Paris, Tennessee, is seeking a Minister of Students to join us as we Gather, Go, and Grow.  A healthy and thriving church in northwest Tennessee, Maplewood has a rich tradition of being a loving church with heart-warming fellowship.  Our Sunday morning worship averages around 200 in attendance.  A committed core of students, parents, adult volunteers, and a youth worship team, all look forward to supporting the continued growth of our youth ministry–not only in numbers, but most importantly, in spiritual depth.

The Paris-Henry County area is situated in northwest Tennessee, close to the Kentucky border.  We are located on Kentucky Lake, close to Land Between the Lakes, and just a little over an hour’s drive to Clarksville, Jackson, and Paducah, and a bit over two hours to Nashville or Memphis.  The “Volunteer County of the Volunteer State” is special and unique.  We have one high school which allows a strong sense of community.  Our downtown area has fun shops and regularly planned events while our recreational, volunteering, and giving opportunities are many.  We even have our own Eiffel Tower!

Candidates should…

• have a clear testimony of faith and calling into vocational ministry
• exhibit a love and passion for students
• be a gifted teacher who exhibits the fruit of the Spirt in everyday life
• possess a balance of enthusiasm and maturity in their approach to ministry
• hold an undergraduate degree / education in the area of ministry or a related field is preferred
• have experience leading or serving in a healthy student ministry
