- Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with Quality and production teams to optimize compounding processes, including parameter adjustments, tooling setups, and material selections, with the aim of improving product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Troubleshooting:
- Quickly identify and diagnose process issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality deviations. Implement effective corrective actions to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
- Equipment Maintenance:
- Aid in establishing and coordinating routine maintenance and calibration of compounding equipment, auxiliary equipment, and associated tools to ensure consistent and accurate production.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor and inspect product for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Assist quality Engineer with control measures and developing testing protocols.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of process changes, adjustments, and results.
- Generate reports on process performance (KPI), defects, and improvements.
- Develop and maintain work instruction and troubleshooting manuals.
- Project management.
- Collaborate with Quality engineering and Chemical engineering teams during the introduction of new products or equipment, providing input on process feasibility, troubleshooting potential challenges, and assisting in initial setups.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (GROWTTH) to enhance process efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize cycle times.
- Propose and implement innovative ideas to drive operational excellence.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Identify potential safety hazards and contribute to the development of safety procedures.
Qualifications arrow_right
- Bachelor's degree in mechatronics engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience. Controls experience is preferred.
- Microsoft office suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Office, Teams)
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer/Controls Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Implementing and developing design for PLC and Control Logix programming, Servos, VFD and hardware.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze process data to identify and address root causes of issues.
- Experience with 2D/3D modeling. (Fusion 360, Inventor, Solidworks)
- Skill and knowledge of basic hand tools.
- Familiarity with quality control techniques, statistical process control (SPC), and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment to perform quality inspections.
- Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn and implement new technologies and processes.
- Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.
