Job description
Description: Must be proficient in submitting claims and work denials. Outpatient behavioral health billing experience would be ideal
- Work collaboratively with the Clinic Director and Vice President of Clinical Operations to assure accuracy in all aspects of third party verification, documentation, coding and billing in a timely manner.
- Review/audit monthly billings prepared by staff.
- Monitor budgets and accounts receivable and follow up as necessary
- Actively participate in all licensing and accreditation processes; complete required documentation in a timely manner, meeting regulatory standards.
- Hire, supervise and mentor billing employees.
- Evaluate, assess and monitor performance of direct reports. Assign and adjust work load in a manner that capitalizes upon individual professional strengths. Conduct performance reviews and develop appropriate training and performance plans. Foster on-going staff development to ensure maximum transferability of skill between functions as appropriate.
- Confer with Vice President of Finance and Human Resources regarding the resolution of personnel related matters. Confer or participate in employee corrective action process and keep Vice President of Finance apprised of significant developments. Mediate conflicts within department.
- Train fiscal/billing department employees on job functions, use of accounting/billing software and other technology as needed.
Will be working a 60 day contract while the organization transitions to outsourcing their billing department.
Schedule - Monday-Friday 9am-5pm NO Weekends
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Does NOT need to have college diploma
