Overview
GCG’s Connectivity & Power Solutions (CPS) division is currently seeking a Wire Management product expert to join our marketing team and lead our go-to-market strategy for this product group!
As the Wire Management Product Manager, you will coordinate and execute the positioning of wire management products within our portfolio of products and value-added services in each of our target customer markets. You will partner with our commercial team to develop targeted sales and marketing plans, driving the sales growth of wire management products in alignment with annual sales objectives.
This role offers the chance to work onsite with our marketing team in Collegeville, PA OR work remotely depending on the incumbent’s geographic location. The amount of travel required would range from 25 to 50% and frequent travel to our Collegeville location would be required during the first four weeks for training purposes.
What you’ll do
Evaluate current market position and identify growth opportunities to meet objectives
Lead design and implementation of product line strategy aligned with business objectives
Support growth through education, training, product management, and direct sales support
Lead pricing discussions across market segments
Develop strategic alliances with key contacts, partners, and vendors
Track and communicate performance of growth plans to senior leadership
Identify product opportunities and market trends for target growth areas
Develop a mid-term (1-3 year) product strategy linked with CPS's growth plan
Establish metrics for tracking current vs desired position
Support sales in business development, including direct selling
Provide oversight and support on impactful sales opportunities
Assist in resolving high-level customer problems and complete reports with the commercial team
Prepare and present growth strategies and market initiatives
Provide accurate forecasting and market information for responsible verticals
Stay updated on the competitive landscape and new vendors in assigned markets
Plan and support customer outreach, assigning deadlines for direct sales calls
Keep department representatives informed of program developments
What you’ll bring
5+ years of sales, marketing, or business development experience in Wire & Cable, with 3 years focused on Wire Management Products
Demonstrated ability to educate and train on product function using MS PowerPoint and applicable software platforms
Previous experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM platform preferred but not required
Demonstrated aptitude in understanding market trends and mindset
Clear and concise communication skills
Effective in responding to inquiries from executive leadership, managers, staff, customers, and vendors
Strong negotiating skills
Ability to work at a fast pace, quickly learn products, systems, and sales processes
Effective collaboration while maintaining independent drive
Strong leadership skills to lead a market and team
