Job Overview:

As a VP, Relationship Manager, you'll play a crucial role in fostering new commercial lending relationships and nurturing existing ones. Your goal is to offer proactive financial solutions to our clients and prospects, boosting the bank's deposit base, and ensuring a seamless and beneficial relationship for both parties. This position demands a proactive approach in community engagement, building a network of potential clients, and driving business growth through strategic planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Actively engage with the business community to foster relationships and network with business owners, C-level executives, and Centers of Influence (COIs), driving business towards the bank.
Develop and maintain a prospect list, executing strategies to meet and exceed individual and team objectives across the bank's service lines.
Oversee commercial relationships, from interviewing applicants to analyzing financial data and assessing credit risk.
Approve loans within your authority and recommend further action for loans beyond your scope, adhering to the bank's policies and procedures.
Continuously monitor market conditions and competitor activities to ensure our offerings remain competitive and profitable.
Enhance client experiences by cross-selling commercial products and maintaining up-to-date knowledge on all bank services.

Qualifications:

Proven expertise in commercial credit underwriting, business development, and portfolio management.
5-7 years of Commercial Lending experience is preferred.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take ownership of responsibilities.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, grounded in a detailed risk assessment.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and relevant banking software.

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business is required.
Relevant experience and training in commercial banking are essential.
