Job description
Since 1985 Ramda Metal Specialties, Inc. has been a world class supplier of precision sheet metal assembly and fabrication, serving the Electronics, Telecommunications, Medical, Commercial, Defense, and Aerospace industries.
We are looking for a Shipping/Receiving Manager who will oversee the shipping and receiving and assembly departments ensuring efficient and timely receipt and delivery of goods. They will ensure compliance with safety regulations, handle customer inquiries, and train staff on best practices. Successful candidates for the position should have strong organizational and communication skills and attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and manage the shipping and receiving operations of the company to ensure timely delivery and receipt of products.
Supervise and train employees involved in shipping and receiving tasks.
Develop and implement shipping and receiving procedures compliant with company policies and industry standards.
Monitor inventory levels, maintain accurate records, and ensure proper storage and handling of products.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective workflow across the supply chain.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing shipping and receiving procedures and transportation safety.
Manage equipment maintenance and repairs and arrange for the rental or purchase of equipment as necessary to support shipping and receiving operations.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to shipping and receiving.
Continuously identify opportunities to optimize shipping and receiving processes and reduce costs while maintaining high levels of customer service.
Responsible for counts and visual inspection of all incoming parts from Outside Process
Read blueprints/job orders for product specifications such as dimension and tolerances ensuring finished products and spare parts meet quality specifications
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures established by the company
Perform daily equipment maintenance checkup and notify management of any equipment-related issues that may require attention
Perform 5S housekeeping of work area per established schedules
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years related experience
Sheet Metal experience a HUGE plus
Bilingual in English / Spanish
Working knowledge of Inventory Software and Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able to drive a forklift
COMPENSATION:
$23 - $25/hourly.
