Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and experienced Manager of Business Development to join our growing commercial team! In this critical role, you will be essential in expanding our RNG business development and driving growth through strategic partnerships, new customer acquisition, project development initiatives , and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities .
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and originate RNG development opportunities across North America
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing customers, industry partners, and government agencies
- Prepare and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
- Support executive management in identifying and evaluating potential M&A targets, aligning with company growth strategies
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate potential project opportunities
- Negotiate, in collaboration with management and outside legal counsel, feedstock and other long-term commercial agreements
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, operations, etc.) to develop project plans, timelines, and feasibility studies
- Travel up to 25-50% of time to opportunity locations across North America
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering related fields
- Minimum 5 years of relevant business development or project finance experience
- Experience in renewable energy and/or complex projects involving substantial investment & construction
- Familiarity with carbon accounting, RFS/LCFS programs, renewable gas standards, and renewable gas voluntary attributes a plus
- Excellent financial modeling skills, including high proficiency with Excel
- Strong familiarity with the RNG or Renewable Energy industries
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, and strong attention to detail
- Excellent proposal development and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively evaluate, address opportunities
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record demonstrating a success-oriented mindset, motivated by the challenge of winning in a highly competitive market
Physical Demands
- Position requires minimal lifting (up to 25 lbs.), mostly desk work
- Strength and flexibility to work at a desk for up to eight hours
- Travel up to 25-50% of time to opportunity locations across North America

Compensation
Compensation is paid on a bi-weekly basis and will be consummate with the value and experience the candidate brings to the role. In addition to base salary, compensation includes the option to participate in company sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance plans and in a retirement savings program as well as paid personal time off and holidays.
