Job description
The Manager of Contract Manufacturing coordinates, organizes, and oversees activities involved in the planning, acquiring, and distributing of the company’s goods. This position works extensively with contract manufacturers and packagers to produce the company’s pharmaceutical products to ensure reliable continuity of supply to our patients.
This position is primarily in-office but open to remote candidates who meet the necessary qualifications and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Responsibilities - Facilitates Sales & Operations Planning Process
- Aligns supply chain activities, including planning, purchasing, contract manufacturing, logistics, including import and export coordination, and distribution
- Develops Production Plans from Commercial and Clinical forecasts
- Manages Material Requirements Planning
- Identifies and mitigates risks
- Works directly with and supports peer functions including Accounting, Accounts Payable, Clinical Supply, Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Legal, Marketing, Quality, and Regulatory
Qualifications and Strongly Preferred Skill Requirements: - Undergraduate degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration
- Minimum of three years actively working in a global supply chain with diverse roles, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- Minimum of three-to-five-year years’ experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes preferred.
- One or more Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM)/APICS
Supply Chain Certifications preferred (priority sequence below) - Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)
- Certified in Transformation for Supply Chain (CTSC)
- Strong written and verbal communication – an effective communicator

Experience: - Leading discussions and presenting information to small groups via Microsoft Teams

- Leading problem resolution without prior related experience with issue or knowledge of subject matter
- Working in pharmaceutical manufacturers and/or current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) environments
- Expertise/experience in dispensing, blending, compounding, milling, tableting, encapsulation, and packaging pharmaceutical products.
- Leading projects or actively participating in lead functional role within a major project
