Summer Golf Course Intern
Golf Course in Huntsville, Alabama is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.
Position Overview:
Duties:
• Interns will be involved in every detail of the golf course maintenance.
• Communication is incredibly important and will be emphasized throughout your time here.
• Interns will have the ability to train, learn and execute every task that is done on a daily basis.
• An array of projects and large scale upgrades to be intimately involved in planning and executing.
• Daily, will be involved in working on scheduling/executing of tasks with Assistants/Superintendent.
• Tournament setup and planning will be a major focus of your internship.
• Learning the proper handwatering techniques will be crucial to your success here.
• Interns will gain experience in what it takes to maintain a golf course at a high level daily.
• You will also have the ability to be involved in reel maintenance, equipment maintenance, and work directly with the Equipment Manager and Mechanics.
Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Golf/Turf related business.
Any level experience will be considered.
Compensation:
$17 – $19 per hour.
Housing stipend.
