Data Specialist
Location: Wilkes Barred, PA Description:
This function is responsible for North American master data domains (Customer, Material, Product, Vendor) and applicable functions/countries/categories and manufacturing plants. . The role is responsible for the front office activities in the create, extend, change, and deactivate processes for the designated scope. The role should ensure compliance of back office with the policies and procedures for each master data domain. It is a single point of escalation and clarification from back office. The role is also the business partner link for any Governance and sustainability topic, linked with the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OR ACCOUNTABILITY
- Validation of request and liaison between requestor (Business) and back office (entry) on domain specific requests to create / extend/ deactivate/ activate master data. Collaborate and provide insights to Business questions on setup and usage of data elements including systems, process and procedures to ensure productivity for business, including the Production Boms process for manufacturing. (25%)
- Key point of contact for business functions / data owners and data consumers and tracking their E2E MD process flows. (20%)
- Deploy and co-ordinate Governance and Sustainability initiatives with functions/market/plants/category (Quality, Performance, Training/Testing, industry standards) (15%)
- Participate in local meetings (I2M, Business changes, Continuous Improvement, SCR, GS1, ) (10%)
- Escalation and issue resolution. Governance calls with back office on performance, issues and reports. (10%)
- Project support (Global, regional and local initiatives including link with back-office) (10%)
- Key user responsibility for the assigned scope and a domain sub-process including testing and training and documentation. (10%)
- Work toward maintaining and improving the Performance Measures and work with others to do the root cause analysis for any issues: Satisfaction of MDM Customers MDM Requests Completed within Service Level Agreement MDM Requests Completed as Requested MD Consistent Within or Across Data Sources MD Compliant with Defined Rules Required MD that is Complet Records/Objects Processed per FTE
- Work toward maintaining and improving performance through KPIs: Speed (on-time and fast-track), Quality (High-impact incidents and audit control, Service ( reach cost targets, professional standards), Simplification (15% reduction/year)
- Stakeholder relations as Business partner role: Local Business Function leaders and data owners/data consumers; Global and regional process leads; Global and regional governance and sustainability; Global and regional project teams.
- Balancing Regional goals/needs against global goals/needs.
- Enforcing the Global MDM strategy with indirect authority and with partner organizations that will have their resources stressed as well.
- Be the first escalation for questions or issue resolution from back-office. Resolve or escalate.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Min. 2 years of business experience in a functional area's of finance/supply chain
SCHEDULE: 8 am to 4 pm daily Monday through Friday
