If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Accounts Payable Clerk at the Orthopedic Center of Illinois (OCI). We are seeking a dedicated individual to help us manage our financial transactions, ensure accurate record-keeping, and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is responsible for accounts payable, including but not limited to compiling and sorting documents; verifying and posting business transactions using various software, processing electronic and manual payments, maintaining vendor files, and various other bookkeeping tasks. This position also offers upward mobility within the company for hardworking and qualified candidates.

MAJOR TASKS AND DUTIES :

1. Post vendor invoices to correct General Ledger account.
2. After invoices are reviewed, print checks or process payment electronically.
3. Scan documents and file in vendor files.
4. Process patient and insurance refunds weekly.
5. Responsible for daily processing of morning and night batches, including depositing checks as needed. Assure spreadsheet is balanced.
6. Reconcile Petty Cash weekly.
7. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma/GED required
• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience required OR an Associates degree in Accounting/Business
• Proficient in MS Office Applications and general math skills
• Must be dependable and be able to effectively communicate verbally and in written form.
