Job description

Information Systems Solutions (ISS) is looking for a candidate to provide Linux System Administration as part of a development team operating application on a production environment for US Government Customer. The selected candidate will work as the primary System Administrator for the BRSA project, focusing on new methodologies of producing and exporting software packages to ships while underway. This role is the lead of a two person team supporting this customer in this new effort. System administrator support includes patching, upgrades, security scanning, security configuration lockdowns, maintaining/creating system documentation, Cybersecurity reporting, and activities required to support accreditation requirements. The best candidate is one that can learn quickly and function independently.

Specific job duties include:

• Experienced Linux system administration
• SELinux administration
• Experience with ESXi and OpenShift.
• Knowledge and experience with VMs
• Maintain system configurations, user access, and issue-level security to protect user privacy and data integrity.
• Comfortable working at the command line level for administration
• Manage IA updates as required.
• Perform and document all applicable STIGs
• Develop documentation for sysadmin duties, configuration changes, and backups
• Update System Documentation

Certifications (IAT Level II)

One of the following:

• Security+ CE
• GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
• Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
• System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

and one of the following:

• Linux +
• LPIC-2 Advanced Level Linux Professional
• LPIC-3 Senior Level Linux Professional
• RHCE Red Hat Certified Engineer
• RHCSA Red Hat Certified System Administrator
• RHCDS Red Hat Certified Data Center Specialist

Required Skills

• 4+ Years of Experience with Linux Systems
• Experience with SELinux
• Knowledge of BASH scription

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of ITIL processes and ITIL Certification
• Experience with the IAVM process
