Grounds Worker

Position Summary:
Gannon University, a Catholic university, seeks a Grounds Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of campus lawns and sidewalks and will assist in the preparation and cleaning associated with university events. General landscaping, pruning, edging, mulching, and planting skills are preferred.

This position will participate in snow removal from parking lots, sidewalks, and entrances and work hours will change during winter months. Must be able to work overtime hours and be flexible with work schedule. This position has part-time and full-time vacancies. Must be able to support and promote the University's Mission.

Required Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma/GED.



Experience: One to three years experience.



Licenses and Certifications: Valid drivers license.



Skills: Must be self-motivated and have good oral, written, and verbal communication skills.



University Mission: Must be able to support and promote the Universitys Mission.



Preferred Qualifications:
Must possess or be willing to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License at the expense of the University.
