Job Description
As a valued colleague on our team, you will contribute to developing data infrastructure and pipelines to capture, integrate, organize, and centralize data while testing and ensuring the data is readily accessible and in a usable state, including quality assurance.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The Data Analytics Platform Engineer role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Analytics platforms to enable our Data Science Community to develop, create and deploy machine learning capabilities.
- Promote open-source development best practices/techniques with Analytics Center of Excellence (ACoE) engineering team through participation in technical design, and code reviews.
- Drive automation using popular cloud orchestration, configuration management, and CI/CD system.
- Troubleshoot performance and scalability issues in products and infrastructure.
- Participate in production software deployments working closely with team members to ensure the proper transition of system changes into the production environments.
- Implement data driven products and solutions in finance/mortgage industry to add value to business.
- Develop & maintain technical documentation including system diagrams & operational procedures.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences: - 2+ years of related experience
- Experience with Data Analytics and/or Data Engineering
- Development experience using relevant Data Analytics programming languages (R, Python, SAS)
- Production experience with full software development lifecycle in a team environment
- Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing
- DevOps experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines in systems like Jenkins, AWS Code Pipeline
- Experience with Dockerizing application runtimes and hosting in the cloud
- Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action
- Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
- Ability to frame ideas as systems and analyzing the inputs, outputs, and process
- Analytics Product Deployments including designing product deployment plans, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc
- Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data
- Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
- Strong teamwork, planning, and coordination skills
Desired Experiences:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- 6+ years related experience
- Skilled in installing, configuring, and managing Analytics COTS products in On-prem and Cloud environments
- Experience in production support that has high visibility/SLA
- Demonstrated success as a software engineer working on core AWS services
- Experience using DevOps tools (Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible, Cloud Formation Templates, Terraform, Docker etc.)
- Knowledgeable in the AWS Well Architected Framework
- Self-motivation, adaptability, and the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
- Ability to independently research and resolve technical problems in a complex IT environment

- Skilled in R Language Programming
- Skilled in RStudio to develop programs in R
- Skilled in Python object-oriented programming
- Skilled in SAS
- Skilled in AWS Compute such as EC2, Lambda, Beanstalk, or ECS
- Skilled in SQL
- Skilled in AWS Management and Governance suite of products such as CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or Systems Manager
- Skilled in AWS Database products such as RDS, Redshift, or Aurora
- Skilled in Amazon Web Services (AWS) offerings, development, and networking platforms
- Experience using JIRA
- Experience using APIs for developing or programming software
- Skilled in JavaScript
- Skilled in Docker
- Skilled in Kubernetes
