Job description
Seeking a Project Management Accountant for a well-established company!
Job duties include:
• Develop, analyze, and maintain project budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals
• Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and other variance analyses to project stakeholders
• Collaborate with project managers to identify potential financial risks and opportunities
• Establish and maintain project accounting principles, procedures, and controls
• Monitor project expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints
• Identify areas for cost optimization
• Conduct regular project financial reviews to assess performance against financial plans
• Track, analyze, and report on project costs, ensuring accurate and timely recording of expenses
• Work closely with project teams to understand cost drivers and implement cost control measures
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for project stakeholders, including executive management and project teams
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements in all financial reporting activities
• Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders, fostering a clear understanding of project financial health
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CMA designation is a plus
• Proven experience in project accounting and financial management, preferably in a construction and fabrication environment
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Proficiency in financial software and project management tools
• Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
