Job description

The position includes teaching Upper School Physics. A full-time position also includes contributing to the student experience outside of the classroom, such as coaching a sport or academic team (matched with the candidate’s skills and experience) or working with students in the Academic Support Program.

Full-time faculty members typically serve as an adviser for a group of 6-8 students in one grade; attend department, grade-level adviser, and faculty meetings (some of which occur before or after the school day); maintain verbal and written professional contact with students, colleagues, and families; serve on one faculty committee; chaperone after-school student events; participate in the broader life of the School; and, support the school community by setting a positive example in all areas of school life and upholding and enforcing school rules and procedures.

Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field is required, an advanced degree is preferred.
