Job description

Operations Finance Manager role presents a compelling chance to leave a lasting mark in construction, orchestrating financial operations alongside our dedicated team. With a large portfolio of companies, you will collaborate with our team of finance mavens and construction virtuosos to revolutionize our financial operations. You will spearhead accounting and finance initiatives for your region, ensuring precision, timeliness and adherence to company policies.

What You Will Be Doing

- Provide financial and analytical support to Regional Vice President including consolidation of financial reports, financial analysis and other related financial reporting requirements to ensure GAAP and Company policies are achieved.
- Provide accounting support during the month end financial close process including the review of invoices, hourly and salary payroll, equipment profitability, subcontractor/supplier agreements, materials financials, inventory, journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals to achieve Company deadlines per US GAAP compliance. Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process when applicable.
- Work within the various operational finance functions (payroll, AP, AR, subcontract/contract administration, material billings, equipment reporting, etc.) to obtain an understanding and mastery of daily, weekly and monthly operational finance tasks and responsibilities.
- Preparation and management of operations budgets and forecasts, in conjunction with the Regional Vice President to ensure accurate and timely reporting and cost control.

What You Need for this Position

- 7+ years practical work experience including:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in Budget/Finance, Financial Reporting or Accounting.
- 1+ years management/supervisory experience
- Progressive and experience in business and accounting related functions, preferably in the heavy-civil construction and construction materials industry.
- Prior direct P&L responsibility.
- Working knowledge of POC (percent of completion) accounting and WIP reporting
- Some ERP system knowledge of JD Edwards, Acumatica, NetSuite, Foundations or other.
- Budgeting and Forecasting experience
- Bachelors degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting or related field required.

Salary range of $105,000 - $120,000 annually (DOE)
