Job description
The company are a global baggage / automation integrator and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead automated baggage handling system implementations from planning through deployment. You will oversee cross-functional teams to deliver projects within scope, on schedule, and on budget.
Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules covering design, development, testing, training, and deployment
- Lead kick-off meetings and status updates to align all stakeholders
- Manage day-to-day project activities across engineering, manufacturing, installation, and software teams
- Monitor progress and performance metrics to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Manage budgets, track costs, and ensure efficient utilization of resources
- Lead design reviews, milestone reviews, and system integration testing
- Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans
- Coordinate logistics for equipment, materials, and resources
- Manage relationships, commitments, and communications with clients and vendors
- Drive projects to on-time completion meeting quality and performance objectives
Requirements: - 5+ years managing baggage handling automation projects
- Expert knowledge of baggage handling systems and technologies
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with project management tools and software
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Business Management
