Job description

Responsibilities:

As a Therapist for Veteran Military Support Services, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic counseling and intervention services. Your responsibilities include:

Conducting therapeutic counseling/intervention services in alignment with clinical screenings.
Assisting in completing intake assessments and diagnostic formulations as needed.
Coordinating services within the Agency and other community providers.
Involving and educating the consumer's family at a level acceptable to the consumer.
Responding to crisis situations and ensuring the appropriate level of care through service coordination or provision of community support services.
Documenting services accurately in the automated clinical record-keeping system within 24 hours.
Providing overall service coordination, referral, linkage, and advocacy to consumers with varying needs.
Participating in interdisciplinary team staffing, presenting psychosocial assessment findings, and encouraging consumer attendance at staff meetings.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

US Military Veteran, Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military spouse preferred.
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
Independent licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) is required.
2+ years of clinical experience is required.
Training and expertise in evidenced-based psychotherapies is preferred.
Experience across a range of modalities, including child, couples, family, and group treatment, is preferred.
Experience treating and diagnosing posttraumatic stress and comorbid diagnoses (e.g., anxiety) with evidence-based treatments.
Experience working with a military or veteran population is preferred.
Experience utilizing an electronic health record is preferred.
Ability to provide services in Spanish is preferred.

Possess clinical skills for evaluating accuracy of clinical screening and providing appropriate clinical intervention.
Ability to operate as a team member while making positive, individual judgments.
Ability to work in a high-stress environment, take initiative, and be creative.
Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle.
