Job description
Martin Automotive Group is seeking a Custodian to join our team at our Nashville Subaru & Hyundai of Hickory Hollow locations. As a custodian, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Empty trash bins and replace liners.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies.
- Dusting daily, dust high areas weekly.
- Sweep each technician’s stall when empty.
- Assist technicians with oil and water spills and with emptying drain tubs.
- Clean and remove dirt/grease as necessary (including handrails).
- Run errands as directed by Service Manager.
- Scrub floors as directed.
- Wash windows and glass doors in facility as directed.
- Clean vending machines, coffee counters, water fountains, customer lounge, employee break room, including all appliances in employee break room.
- Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
- Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down for events or meetings.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
