Job description
Primary Function
Responsible for the administration and supervision of all branch activities within established policies and guidelines and the provision of superior member service.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruits, directs, trains, and develops the branch and, if applicable, call center personnel.
- Determines that all credit union policies are being followed and initiates corrective action as needed.
- Reviews operational problems with staff and other department personnel for solutions or modifications to operations.
- Serves as member service and/or call center representative.
- Addresses member inquiries, assisting and/or directing staff as necessary.
- Controls branch security and appearance.
- Cooperates with lending management in coordination and implementation of loan policy for branches.
- Cooperates with collection efforts as necessary.
- Recommends and develops innovative programs/services in which the credit union should participate.
- Ensures the balance of cash, general ledger, and daily reconciliation sheets daily.
- Resolves account problems and provides information to members.
- Maintains liaison between branch operations and the administrative office.
- Cross-sells credit union products and services.
- Represents the credit union in a courteous and professional manner. Provides prompt, efficient, and accurate service to members. Maintains member confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Degree in business, accounting or related field, or equivalent, and a minimum of five years experience in the lending or member services area of a credit union or financial institution. Ability to make decisions and supervise subordinates effectively.
