Job description
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network and Communication Architect in San Anthonio, TX. As a Network Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our data communication networks.
Responsibilities:
Network Design and Planning:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design data communication networks that align with organizational goals
- Create network architecture blueprints, considering scalability, security, and performance
Network Implementation:
- Present network plans to management staff for approval
- Oversee the network implementation process, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets
- Install and configure routers, switches, firewalls, and other necessary hardware and software components
Security and Maintenance:
- Manage information and network security protocols
- Implement upgrades to hardware and software as needed
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on network equipment
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of networks, including network diagrams, descriptions, and configurations
- Keep records up to date and accessible for troubleshooting and future enhancements
Research and Innovation:
- Stay informed about emerging network technologies and advancements in the field
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and reliability
