THE BASICS OF BEING A STATE SMOG INSPECTOR

In this role, you're responsible for thoroughly inspecting vehicles and testing if they meet state emission standards. Your daily tasks include performing emissions tests, searching for leaks or faulty parts, and accurately documenting the results. You speak with the customer about their inspection and explain what repairs or adjustments they need if they fail. Working seamlessly with your team, you strive to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our inspection process!

Here are the minimum requirements:

• State certification as an emissions inspector
• Knowledge about emissions control systems and testing equipment
• Ability to stay up-to-date with evolving automotive regulations and technology
• Excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, and great attention to detail
