Overview:
Mission Veterinary Partners (MVP) is adding a Senior Payroll Administrator

Shift Details: This position is Remote eligible.
The Senior Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing all payroll-related activities, including
the timely and accurate processing of all payrolls; confidentially managing employee salary data;
ensuring timesheets are correct; and conducting audits of payroll processing.

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Process accurate bi-weekly payroll to include maintaining employee information (salaries,
benefits, deductions, taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, loans, address changes), reviewing
earnings and producing payroll/financial reports. - Calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, tax withholdings and deductions.
- Process final paychecks for multiple states in accordance with Final Pay Day Laws.
- Process payroll corrections and adjustments as needed.
- Verify accuracy of time entry for completeness. Communicate with Practice Managers to verify
and/or correct timecard issues. - Ensure precise and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and
changes in pay rates. - Respond to and resolve employee inquiries regarding payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (3+ years of experience in
lieu of); Certified Payroll Professional preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Payroll
- Working knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control and
payroll taxes
- Experience in handling payroll for multiple locations and multiple states
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work as a collaborative member of a team, as well as individually as needed
- Experience with HCM payroll functions, preferably Ceridian Dayforce
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
