  Automotive Title / Lien Clerk  
We are one of the largest towing, recovery and special transport companies in the country.

Guardian Fleet Services is looking for a new team member to join our Spring Hill location. The primary responsibility of an Automotive Title/Lien clerk is responsible for processing and filing paperwork to establish or transfer the ownership of a motor vehicle.

Essential Duties:

 

• Audit vehicle title history to verify lienholders
• Examine vehicle title for accuracy and conformity to specified requirements. Verify acceptance of the title in the state for which it is filed. Confirm accurate title VIN number, odometer reading, releases of liens, and that titles contain no alterations
• Organize all paperwork and check that it has accurate VIN number, odometer reading and releases of liens and that titles contain no alterations
• If errors found on titles, provide alternative correction forms to amend errors.
• Communicate with clients and towing partners regarding pickup/release delays.
• Handle daily incoming and outgoing mail.
• Maintain knowledge of current DMV laws and regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpret titling regulations in each state for which vehicles are processed.
• Prepare & submit all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles (DMV)
• Prepare & submit all legal paperwork to obtain out-of-state titles
• Prepare tax & title documents
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

• Superior customer service skills.
• FL Notary Public preferred
• FL Title experience preferred
• Understanding of national guidelines and local state regulations for vehicle titles
• Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook, Excel & Word)
• Understand deadlines and be able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to all tasks

Physical Requirements
The job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. significant physical strength and stamina. Ability to lift and pull at least 50 lbs. Good hearing and vision are required.
