Job description
A Public Relations/Communications Writer position is now available in the Greater Phoenix Arizona area. Our client is looking for a persuasive AP style writer with journalistic roots. The PR/Comms Writer needs to have a solid understanding of PR campaigns and content and how it differs yet compliments integrated marketing and advertising efforts.
This is a fully work from home position however candidates must be local to the Greater Phoenix Arizona area to attend team meetings client meetings and industry events when needed. Public Relations/Communications Writer Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering PR communications such as news articles award nominations media pitches press releases blogs social media communications web content etc.
- Works closely with senior leadership in executing strategic PR campaigns as well as brainstorming and contributing to planning process related to content strategy.
- Conduct online research and interviewing of sources to extract and create compelling and insightful content.
- Mentor team of junior peers familiarizing them on various writing styles targeting and key messaging as well as guiding them on strategy and proofreading/editing work.
- Act as a creative resource to drive content strategy and copywriting across all key platforms and integrated campaigns.
- Regularly meet with internal team and clients to report on campaign performance analytics and ROI etc.
- Actively participate in discovery and brainstorm meetings with internal teams and partners stay up to date on all industry trends etc.
- Continue to foster and grow relationships with clients and identify potential areas of growth and opportunity

Requirements
Public Relations/Communications Writer Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in PR Journalism Communications or related field of study
- Minimum 5 years of professional PR AP Style writing experience working in a fastpaced environment and/or PR and marketing agency
- Exposure working with clients across a variety of industries: B2B B2C healthcare financial services legal professional services etc.
- Experience in PR and Media Relations local regional and national experience
- Proficient in AP Style writing proofreading and editing skills
- Inspirational motivational and resourceful team player that takes immense pride in what you do!
- A great storyteller who excels at developing compelling pitches press releases newsletters and persuasive/PR specific content. Must have an understanding and be able to communicate the various styles of writing effectively PR vs Marketing vs Advertising content etc.
- Portfolio that offers a diverse collection of writing samples focused on PR writing!

PR AE Job Qualifications: Minimum 4 years of professional PR experience working in a fast-paced digital marketing and/or PR and marketing agency Experience supporting B2B PR strategy Bachelor\'s Degree in PR, Marketing, Journalism, Comm, or related field of study Experience in PR and Media Relations + local, regional, and national experience Proficient in AP Style + Cision for media list development & research Strong project management and account management skills - preferably using PM systems such as Trello, etc. Proven experience managing and growing client accounts/relationships
