The Medical Records Clerk 2 assembles and maintains patients' health information in medical records and charts. The Medical Records Clerk 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

The Medical Records Clerk 2 is responsible for gathering/retrieving protected health information (PHI) of all patients treated by a provider. Ensures all forms are properly identified, completed, and signed. Scans and uploads all patient record documentation in a timely manner to facilitate timely coding and billing and to accurately account for all patient information. Retrieves all necessary chart documents for patients receiving services. This includes but not limited to In-patients Logs, Providers Face sheets, dictations and addendums, Provider and nurse Progress Notes, Discharge Summaries. Records completion process via email and request for any incomplete required documentation. Helps others by answering questions and responding to requests.

Required Qualifications

• Less than 3 years of medical records experience
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at one (1) time and the ability to be flexible to adjust priorities as needed throughout the day and /or project.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic medical and records terminology knowledge and understanding.
• Intermediate computer and software skills: Keyboard speeds, Microsoft Office.
