Advertised Job Summary:

This position will serve as a scientific advisor to the EPPS curriculum development team. They will produce white papers providing overviews of relevant scientific literature to inform the development of seven to nine courses. The development of these white papers will include: consultation with relevant industry experts, exploration of relevant scientific literature as well as police professional resources, and meetings with EPPS leadership and curriculum development team. This position also will offer advice and guidance on the development of training evaluations for local and regional offerings. This position also will serve as an instructor for the Evidence-Based Policing (EBP) course.

Qualifications:

Terminal degree in criminology or criminal justice; experience developing and delivering educational materials to law enforcement; demonstrated experience partnering with law enforcement agencies on research partnerships; expert understanding of evidence-based policing, broad understanding of scientific literature relevant to fair, effective, legitimate, and lawful policing.
