Junior Cloud Engineer

Our client, a successful financial technology and services company, is currently seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer who has demonstrated competence with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including networking capabilities. The selected candidate will join an accomplished team, helping to provide additional bandwidth for quickly and efficiently deploying resources on AWS.

Responsibilities:

• Building a cloud presence for software development, analysis, and hosting.
• Working with AWS services and back-end resources to automate and streamline processes.
• Assist in collaboration efforts between customers and engineers.
• Deploying, securing, and managing S3 buckets.
• Deploying and managing EC2 resources.

Requirements:

• 3 years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science (additional years of IT experience can substitute for this requirement).
• Experience with cloud computing and virtualization platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.
• Familiarity with Linux/UNIX operating systems.
• Demonstrated skill performing automation using scripting languages.
• Experience with software chain-of-trust.
• Expertise in deploying and managing S3 buckets and EC2 resources.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience setting up CI/CD using GitHub Actions or similar platform.
• Experience with setting up secure cloud networking technologies like VPN.
