Job Summary
INTO OSU is seeking a Graduate Progression Advisor. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position.
The Graduate Progression Advisor will advise Graduate International students in regards to their academic planning and progress using advising and guidance skills. They will interpret and explain university academic policy and procedures to assist students in navigating OSU, transitioning to higher education in the US, developing educational goals, and meeting benchmarks. This position may also provide advising consultation within the other INTO OSU programs and services. The primary function of the role is to ensure that the highest possible number of INTO OSU Pathways and Academic English students successfully progress to OSU degree programs. The focus of this role is specifically on Graduate International students who are headed for Graduate studies and Masters of International Direct students who are supported by INTO OSU.
This position will focus on transitioning those Graduate International students into the academic departments of the University and will work alongside the International Admissions Departments, and the Graduate School. The Progression Advisor will be located in the INTO OSU Center and will report to the Director of Academic Programs.

What You Will Need
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
