Hours: Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM

Loan Repayment
Compensation: $270K plus Productivity and Quality Bonuses

Additional Information: - The ideal candidate will have an interest in working with the underserved and/or homeless population.
- This psychiatrist will split time between Norwalk, Bellflower, and Lynwood Clinics.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Provides psychiatric diagnosis and treatment to indigent primary care patients.
2. Complete physical, mental, and neurological examination of assigned patients.
3. Provides consultation to the nurses and clinical staff.
4. Consults with chief medical officer regarding work performance of nurse practitioners and nurses.
5. Consults training or assist in training of medical students, interns, residents, nurse practitioners and other related health professionals.
6. Coordinates psychiatric (medical) care of assigned patients at hospital.
7. Consults with other staff physicians and para-medical personnel regarding medical management of patients and quality of medical and diagnostic work performed.
8. Confers with chief medical officer on management issues.
9. Prescribes medications for the treatment of physical or psychological disorders.
10. Confers on the planning and direction of the primary care team as it relates to the physician’s specialty.
11. Participates in medical and services utilization audits, peer review and quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
1. Current California Physician & Surgeon License.
2. Current DEA Certificate.
3. Current CPR Certification.
4. Board Certification.
5. Ability to travel from site to site as needed.
6. Experience in working with clients and staff from diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural background.
7. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
