Must have 90-hour certification in school age OR a degree in child care or teaching

Location: Kent Island Elementary School 110 Elementary Way Stevensville MD

Schedule : No WEEKENDS. Monday through Friday. 12pm-5pm You also can stay year round for our school year for fall 2023/24. Hours for our fall school year are AM 615am-9am and PM 3:30pm-6pm

Pay & Benefits:

• $16.50/hour

As an AlphaBEST Captain , you'll be trained to do the following:

• Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
• Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
• Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered at your program site.

Here's what you'll need:

• Must have 90- hour certification in school age programs OR a degree in child care or teaching. 1 year experience working directly with children in an approved setting( registered child care home, licensed child care center, nursery, school, church or similar setting)
• Must be at least 21years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by state childcare licensing regulations
• Provide proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing standards
