Minimum Requirements: HS or GED and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 2 Wage Range Minimum $16.51/hr Midpoint $20.67/hr Maximum $24.77/hr
Position Description: This position is part-time (22.5 hrs per week) and located in Bowling Green, KY. The Department Coordinator II performs administrative functions involving a considerable variety and complexity of assignments the Bowling Green office of the Kentucky Cancer Program. This position provides general, clerical, financial and organizational support to operations, and assists with community outreach programs for the ten counties in the Barren River and assists with activities in the Lincoln Trail District as needed. Support is also provided to the Cancer Control Specialist for state funded initiatives and special projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to independently plan, organize and complete multiple work assignments simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Possess professional oral and written communications skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and/or other design software programs.
- Ability to coordinate meetings via virtual technology platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of office equipment including personal computer systems, photocopy machines, printers, etc.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive professional relationships with colleagues, community partners and the public including culturally sensitive communications with diverse populations.
- Ability to independently research information and be motivated to learn new skills to enhance operations.
- Available to work evening and weekends on occasion.
