Job description
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join our Healdsburg or Folsom California team.
The Supply Chain Manager position leads and performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.

The Supply Chain Manager will report to the Sr. Manager, Operations, and lead the implementation and execution of the Supply Chain strategy. In this capacity, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop suppliers – and manage supplier risk - in response to current and forecasted needs for assigned business area;
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all procurement planning and proposal activities;
- Align staff resources and activities to provide efficient execution of assigned responsibilities;
- Work in concert with Contracts, Supplier Quality, Finance and Program leadership to deliver operational excellence and ensure achievement of business objectives; and
- Lead, develop, and manage staff to support cost, quality, and material flow objectives.
This role also will manage critical suppliers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare supplier RFP/Qs;
- Evaluate supplier proposals, perform price/cost analyses, and negotiate subcontracts/POs;
- Administer complex supplier subcontracts/POs;
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely and profitable fulfillment of company and customer contractual obligations; and
- Prepare various agreements.

- 5 or more years’ experience in Supply Chain with demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Strong operational management skills (e.g., knowledge of various Supply Chain tools, methods, and approaches; determine correct acquisition method; ensure levelling of workload across programs to ensure completion within defined operational metrics, etc.)
- Knowledge of planning and inventory management methodologies, approaches and strategies to optimize supply chain value.
- Ability to lead complex supply chain sourcing and procurement activities (e.g. RFX development and management; supplier qualification and management; contract formulation and negotiation; etc.)
- Strong management skills while aligning the organization to meet changing demands.
$102,196.13 - $153,294.20 annually
