Job description

Role : Sr. Product Support Specialist

Location : Irving, TX - 75038

Duration : 9 Months on W2

Shift Timings : 8 AM to 4:30 PM





- 100% Onsite role.
- Local candidates; In-person interviews.
- Start date: 4th March or 11th March 2024.




About the Role/Details of the Project:
- This person will be reviewing service ticket documentation to identify potential reportable events.
- A potential reportable event is a situation where an Abbott device may impact the health or safety of the user of the device or a patient that is being tested by the device.
- Examples would include cases of fire,
injury by the device or an incorrect patient test result that might impact the health of the patient.
- Looking for tickets that were not correctly coded as potential reportable events when they should have been.
- The reviewer will be using Abbott ticket documentation procedures to review tickets. If the ticket documentation is not provide enough detail to make the determination, then they would have to follow up with the ticket owner to get more clarification to make the determination.
- Report the potential reportable event decisions on a ticket promptly as they will have 24-48 hours to complete this task.
- Reading and reviewing tickets and then following up with ticket owners as needed for clarification in those tickets.
- It is the the clinical working with the results working in the clinical environment as a medical laboratory technician or MIT that is very important because they'll be evaluating results, 80% of the tickets that fall into this category involve patient results - involves pulling up an essay package insert, looking at clinical ranges, looking at the values generated, and then based on our criteria, evaluating that.
- Not looking for a call center person or a service person. This is a reviewer with a strong focus on the actual results the analyzer is producing. Is it correct or not.



Skills Looking For:
- Exp working with In Vitro Diagnostic Instruments and is accustomed to evaluating or reviewing clinical tests and specifically clinical tests in the areas of chemistry, amino assay, and hematology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as they will need to communicate with ticket owners to get more information on potentially reportable events.



Education and Experience:
- Degree in medical technology or medical laboratory technology or have very closely related fields.
- Minimum two years of experience working in a clinical laboratory or reviewing clinical test results.
