Job Description: Assistant Director of Early College Partnerships Non-Unit Professional position, 37.5 hours/week Campus Location: Lynn Grant funded SALARY: Anticipated salary range $76,000.00 - $86,000.00 plus fringe benefits. Actual salary is commensurate with experience and education. GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Assistant Director of Early College Partnerships is responsible for the development and maintenance of programs, policies, procedures, and data associated with the dual enrollment of students and Early College designation programs receiving college credits; facilitating alignment between secondary and postsecondary curriculum; and advancing college readiness initiatives with school districts
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as College contact for Revere High School and Salem High School Early College designation programs as well as potential new designation programs.
- Develop annual and ongoing program goals that align with component initiatives, grant stipulations, the College's Strategic Plan, and the Master Academic Plan.
- Plan, implement, monitor, and assess the policies, budgets, data, and operations of Early College program delivery, on-campus, and off-site. Ensure that data (including student registration and mandated reports) is timely and accurate.
- Provide leadership for the auxiliary needs of Early College students, including targeted recruitment, placement testing, orientation, registration, and supplemental instruction.
- Recruit, hire, and train, evaluate, and supervise appropriate staff.
- Collaborate with the Dean of Postsecondary Transition programs to effectively negotiate and write articulation agreements and Memorandums of Understanding to provide credit opportunities for Early College Designation program students.
- Collaborate with academic deans to schedule academic pathways with High School Early College Designation partners and foster discussions between high school and college faculty to advance improved college readiness and alignment of curriculum.
- Work collaboratively with school district personnel and NSCC offices regarding data sharing, transcript evaluation, enrollment, curriculum changes, student counseling, textbooks, 504 plans, billing, cybersecurity, and other related issues.
- Maintain memberships in relevant professional organizations and participate in professional development and training opportunities
- Attend college and regional meetings as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Assistant Dean of Postsecondary Transition Programs
Requirements: - Master's degree in Educational Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Experience hiring, training, and supervision of staff; three to five years' experience in K-12 or community college settings.
- Knowledge of commonly used College systems (EAB Navigate, Zogotech, Blackboard, Banner, etc,)
- Experience in budget and contract administration (and Grants Administration, if applicable)
- Experience with curriculum development and knowledge of K-12 and postsecondary curriculum standards
- Experience in community outreach and knowledge of community social service systems
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Proficient in MS Office, Internet, and Excel
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
- Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
- Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.
Preferred: - Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- High school or college teaching experience
- Massachusetts high school administrative or curriculum certification
- Experience in providing students support services in a postsecondary setting
- Proficiency in Banner and Access software
- Ability to work out of Lynn, Danvers, and virtual campuses and provide own transportation
- Appropriate Internet access for virtual/remote work
