Job description

Role Responsibilities:

Arrange the maintenance and replacement of a variety of monitoring equipment such as HVAS and River autosamplers.

Build and maintain a database for site information and equipment records, understanding client’s needs for accurate data entry.

Sample collection preparation to enable collection of a variety of samples with multiple procedures efficiently.

Ensuring the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of the team.

Ensuring that vehicles and monitoring equipment are maintained and fit for purpose.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Knowledge of Longitude and latitude navigation and/or UK Grid reference systems.

Excellent organisational skills with strong analytical and numerical skills.

Driving Licence - Position involves the use a four-wheel drive vehicles and trailers. Appropriate training will be provided.

Comfortable working to support the project in a harsh environment.

Flexible start and finish times required in line with the coastal tides and weather.

Communication Skills:

Ability to communicate and create a good working partnership with the client, members of the regulating bodies, various nuclear governing bodies, suppliers, your team and the general public.

Qualifications:

Essential - Maths, English, Science at GCSC level or equivalent.

Desirable – Willingness to develop and train with the beach survey health physics team.
