Please note that the positions could be part-time or full-time, and it is possible that no positions are needed in some semesters. The review of applications is ongoing and continuous, as needed.

Founded in 1967, Lyman Briggs is a vibrant STEM college at Michigan State University that focuses on the study of science in its social, historical, and humanistic contexts. LBC’s curriculum integrates student-focused science pedagogy with an innovative interdisciplinary curriculum that explores the human and social dimensions of science. Science and Society classes are organized by the broad thematic categories of health and medicine, technology, gender and science, the environment, science and the public, and science communication. Each Science and Society instructor, however, is encouraged to produce classes that engage with these broad categories through their own specific questions, methodologies, and theoretical commitments. Since we are seeking candidates for a pool of available instructors for our classes, specific course needs will vary from semester to semester.
