Job description

Successful candidates will be employed by CMSA PAC stationed at Camp Smith (Aiea), HI. CMSA PAC provides tactical and strategic mission planning to the Navy, the Department of Defense (DoD), and other federal agencies.



These positions are in the N3 Operations Department, which is responsible for all aspects of policies, procedures, tactics, and tools utilized in the production and distribution of the required data and navigation products for deliberate, dynamic/time sensitive, and post-launch mission planning necessary to utilize the full capability of the weapons system to penetrate the enemy airspace and successfully delivery kinetic effects on critical elements to meet combatant commanders' objectives.



SALARY RANGE: $51,110 - $140,155. ***FY24 COLA of 8.90%***



General and Career Information: Starting salaries are commensurate with education and experience, plus full benefits. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Basic Requirements: Appointments to Federal positions will be made at the

GS-07, GS-09, GS-11, GS-12, or GS-13 level, with a full performance at the GS-13 level, and are based on the applicant’s education and experience. Opportunities are available for applicants in the following field:

Precision Strike Mission Planning Analyst (0301):

A. GS-13: SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: NOT APPLICABLE AT THIS GRADE LEVEL.

B. GS-12: SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: NOT APPLICABLE AT THIS GRADE LEVEL.

C. GS-11: SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree if related.

D. GS-09: SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree

E. GS-07: SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement

F. COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.



Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:



• You will serve as a Precision Strike Mission Planning Analyst in the N3 Operations Department of CMSA PAC, located on Camp H.M. Smith, HI.

• You will serve as a subject matter expert on policies, standards, tactics, procedures, software applications, and analysis of Tomahawk Land Attack Missile, Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS), and Long Range Hypersonic Weapons (LRHW).

• You will produce missions and maintain data and navigation products, for deliberate, dynamic/time sensitive, and post launch execution (PLE) planning.

• You will work with weapon system program office engineers, software developers, and site contractors - continuously evaluating planning tools and embedded complex models for discrepancies or areas where enhanced research and information is required.
