DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Conduct code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and data flows. Work with product leads and client partners to develop technical requirements and outline proposed solutions. Design cloud security procedures for authentication and authorization to safeguard application. Architect and deploy application cloud infrastructure with required resiliency and disaster recovery methods built in. Design application monitoring and alerting procedures. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability, Software Engineer or related occupation or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Site Reliability, Software Engineer or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Cloud Services such as AWS or Azure; Docker; Java; JSON; Oracle; UNIX; Javascript; Junit; Performance Testing; REST; Shell Scripting; Splunk; CSS; GIT; Infrastructure Architecture Disciplines; Jenkins; SOAP and REST web services; Apache Tomcat; Linux; Software Development; SQL; and, XML. **Employer will accept work experience gained pre or post bachelor’s degree**

Job Location: 1201 3rd Ave, Seattle, WA 98101. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
