Position: HR Coordinator/Recruiter
JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for performing various tasks to support the daily operations of Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design and implement an overall recruiting strategy.
- Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives.
- Write and post job descriptions on career websites, social media, and university boards.
- Source candidates by using databases and social media, as well as evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters.
- Conduct phone screens as well as TEAMs and/or in-person interviews.
- Help the HR Manager develop recruiting methods and strategies as well as interview questions.
- Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to department supervisors and managers.
- Tracks the status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Contact new employees and prepare onboarding materials in the HRIS.
- Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires.
- Stay up to date with current recruiting methods.
- Find, sign up for, and attend job fairs and career events.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Keep abreast of personnel policies, etc., to assist the Human Resources Manager in providing information to the workforce and/or seeking out and answering questions.
- Act as a liaison between employees and insurance/benefits administrators to resolve any issues or answer any questions.
- Assist with maintaining attendance records and sending out occurrence notices. Assist the Human Resources Manager in developing, conducting, coordinating, and monitoring safety programs and training.
- Conduct all new hire orientations.
- Maintain and update employee information on Fidelity (401[k]) Website.
- Assist the Quality Manager and Human Resources Manager in maintaining quality standards, and procedures, and in coordinating any necessary training.
- Assist in administering insurance plans (e.g., process enrollments/terminations or changes, keep accurate up-to-date information for employee distribution; assist in any renewal process as required.)
- Provide employment verifications, unemployment compensation questionnaires, etc., under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager.
- Assists HR Generalist in maintaining employee files (personnel, medical, 401(k), I9, UI, and Insurance).
- Assists HR Generalist in maintaining and updating the company bulletin boards and postings.
- Other duties/responsibilities as directed by the Human Resources Manager.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: - Associate degree or higher in an HR-related field
- 2-4 years of previous experience Human Resource experience
- 2-4 years of specific recruiting experience with ATS (ADP Workforce Now) is a plus.
ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Basic knowledge of employment policies and procedures, with the ability to understand the company’s policies, procedures, organizational structure, and operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Knowledgeable of ATS, recruiting, and database maintenance as well as creating and running customized reports.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Possess and demonstrate effective management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a basic understanding of labor laws and regulations.
- Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and business ethics with a strong sense of confidentiality.
- Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, and able to prioritize and manage time and work on projects effectively.
