Source Pro Search is conducting a search for a National Transportation Manager. My client, a prominent omnichannel leader in the auto and pick-up truck appearance industry with global product distribution and a significant social media following, is actively seeking a National Transportation Manager to oversee both inbound and outbound international and domestic transportation operations. Based in Torrance, California, you will play a crucial role in managing a team responsible for import clearance, freight bill review, duty drawback, and compliance programs for a distribution network covering both domestic and international channels. Job Scope: As the National Transportation Manager, you will lead a team responsible for various aspects of transportation, including inbound and outbound import clearance, freight bill review, duty drawback, and compliance programs. The distribution network is multi-mode, covering parcel, LTL, FTL, and ocean transport, supporting an omni-channel business with diverse customer verticals. Job Responsibilities: Negotiate carrier and forwarder contracts to establish competitive rates, service, and terms while optimizing transportation spend. Oversee the transportation P&L and financial performance of the transportation and import network. Ensure daily operations execution of the transportation network, including on-time pick-up and delivery, carrier capacity management, claims handling, and KPI metrics. Track and evaluate carrier performance against key KPIs, conducting quarterly business reviews for continuous improvement. Manage carrier payable, claims, invoice approval, and aging to minimize service interruptions. Develop innovative transportation programs to enhance customer service and reduce costs, such as order consolidations and multi-stop truckloads. Oversee all U.S. imports and exports, including HTS classification, duty drawback, and compliance programs. Ensure compliance with preferential trade and security programs such as C-PAT, USMCA, and other trade agreements. Job Requirements: B.A. in a relevant field or equivalent. 7-10 years of experience in Operations Management and procurement of Parcel Freight, TL, LTL, and ocean freight. Strong orientation to build organizational capability through process improvement, training, and talent coaching. Pay / Benefits: Salary: $110K - $120K. Bonus: 10%. Family benefits. PTO.
